IT WON'T / WOULDN'T HURT: meaning and examples

Good morning everyone.

Today's expression is: it won't / wouldn't hurt (somebody/something) (to do something)

Meaning: used to say that someone should do a particular thing.

Example 1:
You know...it wouldn't hurt you to help clean the house occasionally.

Example 2:
I realised that it wouldn't hurt to arrive five or ten minutes late to the meeting, so I didn't drive fast.
