JOB-INTERVIEW VOCABULARY (STRENGTHS-WE: meaning and examples

Hello again, everyone. Happy Monday to you. I hope you had a great weekend. Welcome back to the Daily Vitamin.

This week we are going to look at vocabulary and phrases that tend to be used in job interviews. Our hope is that this review of job-interview vocabulary will help you if you ever do a job interview in English. Being familiar with this vocabulary can help you to be a bit more comfortable in an interview.

As you know, it's very common ask a candidate about their strengths and weaknesses.

Meaning strengths: positive attributes or skills that you bring to a job.

Example 1: One of my most important strengths is my ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Meaning weaknesses: areas where you can improve.

Example 2: One of my weaknesses is public speaking; but over the last few months I have been taking courses to improve.

Example 3: In my opinion, in business compassion is not a weakness, it is a strength.

What do you consider to be one of your strengths and one of your weaknesses? Do you focus more on your strengths or on your weaknesses? Let us know on one of our social media sites (Facebook or Twitter/X) and we will give you feedback on your writing ASAP.

Enjoy the rest of your day and I hope you have an excellent week.

All the best!
