KIND-3 (ESSENTIAL WEEKLY VITAMIN)

Today's expression is: nothing of the kind / nothing of the sort
(La expresión de hoy es: para nada; ni hablar; de ningún modo)

Meaning: used to emphasize that the situation is very different from what has been said.
(Se utiliza para enfatizar que la situación es muy diferente a lo que se ha dicho.)

Example 1:
Teacher: Did you push Charlie?
Child: Nothing of the kind! Charlie insulted me, but I didn't push him. He fell down.
(Profesor: ¿has empujado a Charlie?)
(Niño: ¡Ni hablar! Charlie me ha insultado, pero no le he empujado. Se ha caído él solo.)

Example 2:
They thought we would accept the cheapest budget, but we intended nothing of the sort. We chose the company with the best service, not the cheapest price.
(Pensaban que aceptaríamos el presupuesto. Nada más lejos de nuestra intención, escogimos la empresa con el mejor servicio, no el precio más barato.)
