KNOWLEDGE-RELATED VOCABULARY: ASTUTE

Good morning, Daily Vitamin readers! Welcome to another lesson. 

Our theme this week is Knowledge-Related Vocabulary. Today we are learning the word ASTUTE.

Definition: Having the ability to quickly understand a situation (and then figure out a way to profit from it).

Example 1: He handled the negotiations in such an astute manner that he was soon elected to be Vice President of the company.

Example 2: Your daughter makes such astute observations in class. I think she will be a great lawyer someday.
