Did you know that yesterday, the 24th of January, was the International Day of Education? For this reason, we decided to celebrate education with this week's theme, which is Knowledge-Related Vocabulary. We are starting with the expression WELL-VERSED.
Definition: Highly experienced, practiced, or skilled; very knowledgeable
Example 1: I had no idea your son was such a well-versed botanist!
We often say someone is WELL-VERSED IN something.
Example 2: My daughter is writing a report on Ancient Egypt, so she contacted my uncle. He's a professor and is well-versed in ancient history and cultures.
Example 3: I'm sorry I'm not much help with your biscuits. I'm a great cook, but I'm not so well-versed in baking.
