LAUGH-1: meaning and examples

Good morning everyone. I hope you had a relaxing weekend.

This week we have prepared a series of Daily Vitamins that look at different expressions with the English word LAUGH. Hopefully, some of them will make you laugh.

Today's expression is: don't make me laugh (spoken)

Meaning: used to show that you think what someone has just said is impossible or stupid.

Example 1:
Anthony: Will your father lend you the money you need?
Sarah: Don't make me laugh. He wouldn't lend me money even if my life depended on it.

Example 2:
Erin: Do you think you guys will win the league this year?
Ryan: Don't make me laugh. We don't have a chance in hell to win it.
