LEND vs. BORROW: meaning and examples

Today we will review the differences between the verbs LEND and BORROW.
LEND
Meaning: To give someone something for a limited time, expecting they will give it back to you later.
Structure: to LEND someone something OR to LEND something TO someone
Example:
Can you lend me money for a taxi? I left my wallet at home.
BORROW
Meaning: To receive and use something that belongs to someone else, and agree to give it back to them later.
Structure: to BORROW something FROM someone
Example:
Can you believe that? Mark borrowed money from me again, this time for a taxi. He never lends me money when I ask, but he always asks me for money!
