Meaning: We use this expression to describe someone's lifestyle when we perceive it as wonderful or perfect.

Example 1:
My coaching client was depressed and had no direction when we started doing our sessions. Now he's been promoted at work and has set up his own business. He's making more money than ever and just got married to the woman of his dreams. He's really living the dream.

Example 2: 
I was surprised when that famous couple got divorced; they seemed to be living the dream: a perfect marriage, three gorgeous children and a beautiful house in Hollywood.
