LOWKEY (SLANG EXPRESSIONS)

Today we continue with our lessons about slang words and expressions in English. 

Today's slang word is: lowkey

Meaning: slightly or secretly

Example 1: 
Jeff: You don't seem too excited about the concert. Are you?
Jack: Yes, I am; but it's a lowkey excitement.

Example 2:
He was lowkey nervous about giving the presentation, but it went really well for him.

In this case, lowkey indicates that the nervousness wasn’t extreme or openly noticeable, just mild.
