Today's phrase is: TO MAKE MY DAY or TO MAKE SOMEONE'S DAY
Meaning: To make someone happy.
Example 1: Seeing you back at work after your illness, Mary, really made my day. Welcome back!
Example 2:
I just got a call from the CEO of the company that I interviewed with last Friday. They want to hire me. That really makes my day!
