It means: to successfully deal with (resolve) a difficult situation, problem or emotion; to cope. Example 1: I offered to help Betty organize the Christmas party but she insisted that she could manage alone. Example 2: Kenneth manages difficult or demanding clients very well because he's very patient. Example 3: I can't manage without my mobile phone. I use it a lot!
