MORE BAKING VOCABULARY (DUST)
MORE BAKING VOCABULARY (DUST): meaning and examples
Good morning / afternoon / evening everyone, depending on when and where you are reading this lesson. I hope you are having a good day.
As I mentioned yesterday, this week we are looking at some more verbs related to BAKING. Remember, BAKING is cooking done in an oven.
Today's verb is: TO DUST
Definition: To sprinkle something lightly with a powder, such as icing, sugar or cocoa.
Sentence 1: After you take the cake out of the oven, remember to dust it with powdered sugar.
Sentence 2: When she makes chocolate-chip biscuits, she adds even more flavour by dusting each biscuit with cocoa. It really makes a difference; they are excellent!
I don't know if you like to bake, but just speaking about biscuits and cakes is making be hungry. :-)
I hope you have a great day and I'll see you tomorrow with another baking verb.
All the best!
