MORE OR LESS
MORE OR LESS: meaning and examples
Today we finish our 'OR' series with, perhaps, one of the most common 'OR' expressions in English.
Today's expression is: more or less
It is used: to say that something is of an approximate amount or that you agree with something in an undetermined way.
Example 1:
There will be 150 people at the event, more or less.
Example 2:
Chris: Do you like the new picture hanging in the entrance way?
Ed: More or less. I mean, I'm not a great fan of modern art but that painting isn't bad.
Remember that tomorrow we present the Essential Weekly Vitamin for Spanish-speaking students of English.
Have a wonderful day!
