MY BAD

Once again, today we are looking at a colloquial phrase that is normally reserved for situations when we are speaking. This phrase tends to be used almost exclusively in the US, and not so much in the UK.

Today's phrase is: MY BAD

Meaning: we say this when we want to accept that we are wrong or that something is our fault.

Example 1: Sorry for the error; I accidentally deleted your email. My bad.

Example 2: My bad for arriving late to the meeting; the traffic was heavier than usual today.
