ONOMATOPOEIA: CRUNCH: meaning and examples

Today, we’re continuing with our Onomatopoeia series! These words describe sounds and often imitate the noises they refer to.
Today we explore the words CRUNCH and SIZZLE.
Meaning Crunch: A loud, crisp sound made when something hard is crushed or bitten into.
Example 1: I love the crunch of fresh lettuce in a salad.
Example 2: When I walk in the snow it makes a loud crunch under my feet.
Meaning Sizzle: The sound of something frying or cooking in hot oil or heat.
Example 3: You can hear the bacon sizzle in the pan; and it smells very good.
