OVER AND OVER AGAIN
OVER AND OVER AGAIN: meaning and examples
Happy Friday everyone! Welcome back to the Daily Vitamin. I hope you have had a great week.
Today we look at another common English phrase that we use a lot in conversation.
Today's expression is: OVER AND OVER (AGAIN)
Meaning: something that happens or is done many times. It indicates that something happens repeatedly or continuously.
We can use the phrase with or without the adverb "again."
Example 1: Because he didn't change his mindset, he kept making the same mistakes over and over again.
Example 2: Leslie practiced her speech over and over until she could recite it flawlessly from memory.
Now it's time for some practice. Can you come up with your own original sentence with today's expression? You can post your sentence on one of our social media sites (Facebook or Twitter/X) and we will give you feedback about it as soon as possible.
I hope you have a good day and an excellent weekend!
NOTE: Next week there will be no Daily Vitamins, as it is Easter Week (Semana Santa). We'll be back on Monday, April 1st with more lessons.
