PHRASAL VERB FRIDAY: END UP ZIGGURAT BLOG POST: meaning and examples
Today we are looking at the phrase TO END UP for Phrasal Verb Friday.
Definition: to finally be in a particular place or setting or situation.
Example 1: We have plans for our first two days of vacation. I don't know where we will end up for the last five days.
Example 2: I had plans to go camping, but it rained so I ended up cancelling.
Example 3: The train was full, so we ended up driving.
Example 4: You didn't go to the concert? Where did you end up?
As you can see from the examples, this phrasal verb is INSEPARABLE.
