Definition: to finish completely.
Example 1: We are finishing off this year's Daily Vitamin posts with a phrasal verb.
Example 2: We are going to celebrate by finishing off a bottle of cava.
There are other definitions for this phrasal verb; today we are only looking at this definition because it is so appropriate for today's lesson. This phrasal verb is TRANSITIVE and SEPARABLE. For example, we could write Example 2 like this:
We are going to celebrate by finishing a bottle of cava off.
