PHRASAL VERB FRIDAY: 'FOLLOW UP': meaning and examples

Good morning everyone. Happy Friday! Welcome to the last lesson of the week.

For today's Phrasal Verb Friday, we are looking at the phrasal verb TO FOLLOW UP. Like a lot of phrasal verbs, FOLLOW UP has several definitions. 

Definition 1: A meeting or contact to see the progress of something started in the past.

Example 1: He followed up our meeting with an email.

Example 2: Let's follow up this meeting with another one in three weeks.

Definition 2 (medical): observation or treatment of a patient, usually after previous treatments.

Example 3
: The doctor suggested that we follow up my new treatment with some tests in two weeks.
