We are ending this week of Daily Vitamins with the phrasal verb TO TAKE SOMEONE/SOMETHING IN

Definition: to give someone/something a home and care. 

Example 1: We took in the cat that we found in the parking lot. 

Example 2: Volunteers took in the children who lost their parents in the disaster.

This phrasal verb is SEPARABLE and TRANSITIVE
