PHRASAL VERB FRIDAY: TURN IN (SLEEP): meaning and examples

Good morning and happy Friday to everyone!

Last week we looked at the phrasal verb to nod off, and today we are looking at another sleep-related phrasal verb: TO TURN IN.

Definition: To go to sleep. To go to bed.

Example 1: I'm tired. I think I'll turn in soon.

Example 2: What time did you turn in last night?

Example 3: We usually turn in after our favourite show.

This phrasal verb is INTRANSITIVE.
