PHRASAL VERB FRIDAY: ZIGGURAT BLOG WRITE DOWN: meaning and examples
Definition: to write something on a piece of paper so that you do not forget it.
Derek Sivers uses this phrasal verb in the following way to talk about the process of a research study:
Example 1: Everyone wrote down their personal goal.
Here are some more examples.
Example 2: Write down what you need from the store and I will get those items for you.
Example 3: You should write your goals down to make them more real.
Example 4: They wrote down the license plate of the car that hit them.
This phrasal verb is TRANSITIVE and can be SEPARATED (as in Example 3).
