PHRASAL VERBS FOR RELAXING (VEG OUT): meaning and examples

Welcome back, Daily Vitamin readers! It's our fourth day of Phrasal Verbs for Relaxing and we are learning the phrase TO VEG OUT.

Like the previous three phrasal verbs that we've seen, this one is colloquial.

Definition: To do nothing that requires energy; to relax (often watching television).

Example 1: I'm so tired. I just want to veg out tonight.

Example 2: I need to exercise. This last week I've just been vegging out

This colloquial phrasal verb is also INTRANSITIVE

That's all for today. Have you had some time to veg out this week? Take some time to relax, if you can. It's good for you. :-)

Have a great rest of your day!
