Definition: To lose a close romantic connection.
Example 1: I don't know what happened to our marriage. Over the years, we just drifted apart.
Example 2: We decided to break up. No one cheated, we didn't fight, and there really wasn't one reason why... I guess we just drifted apart.
Example 3: It feels like we are drifting apart. I'm not sure how to get back to the relationship that we had when we were madly in love.
This phrasal verb is INTRANSITIVE.
