Today we are looking at TO PUT (something) OFF or TO PUT OFF (something). Although there are other definitions for this phrasal verb, today we are looking at the definition that is often used at work or in business.
Definition: to delay or move an activity to a later time.
Example 1: We have to put the meeting off until next week because Jim is sick.
Example 2: I have to put off my vacation for a few months because I have to work.
This phrasal verb is TRANSITIVE and SEPARABLE.
