PHRASAL VERBS WITH 'ACT' (ACT UPON SOMETHING): meaning and examples

Today is our fourth lesson about phrasal verbs that have the word ACT in them.
Today's ACT phrasal verb is: To act upon SOMETHING
Definition: to take action, frequently as a result of advice or information received.
Today's phrasal verb is a synonym of Monday's phrasal verb (act on something).
Example 1: Acting upon my doctor's orders, I cleared my schedule and spent the week resting at home.
Example 2: When you meet him at the airport, be sure to act upon his instructions.
