PHRASAL VERBS WITH ‘FALL’ (FALL BACK ON): meaning and examples

On September 22nd fall (or autumn) officially started in the northern hemisphere. Therefore, this week in the Daily Vitamin we are going to look at PHRASAL VERBS with the word FALL in them.

Our first expression is: TO FALL BACK ON

Definition: to use something, especially a form of financial support, when other things have failed.

Sentence 1: Ideally, you should be saving 10% of your income to have something TO FALL BACK ON if you lose your job or have other financial difficulties. 

Sentence 2: In business, I like to consider an alternative plan in case the main plan doesn't work out. That way, we'll have a plan TO FALL BACK ON
