As you know, this week we are looking at different GET phrasal verbs

Today's GET phrasal verb is: To get rid of something

Meaning: to remove something that you do not want any longer.

Example 1: That chair in the living room is so old. I can't wait to get rid of it.

Example 2: You have so many clothes that you never wear. Why don't you get rid of them? If you do, you'll have more room in your closet.
