Happy Wednesday, everyone! If you read yesterday's post, then you know that this week, we are looking at Phrases with the word LEAP.

Today we are learning the phrase: LEAP AT THE CHANCE (TO DO SOMETHING)

Definition: To eagerly accept to do something.

Example 1: I would leap at the chance to watch your dog if you ever go out of town. 

Example 2: We thought he was going to leap at the chance to become a manager, but he says he prefers not to work in management. 

Example 3: I leapt at the chance to teach this seminar

NOTE: We can also spell the past tense as LEAPED. This is more common in American English.
