PRONOUNS (INTERROGATIVE)
PRONOUNS (INTERROGATIVE): meaning and examples
Good morning, Daily Vitamin readers! Welcome to another lesson.
We are continuing with our theme for the week: Pronouns. Today's lesson is about INTERROGATIVE PRONOUNS.
We use INTERROGATIVE PRONOUNS to ask questions.
INTERROGATIVE PRONOUNS in English are:
-Who
-Which
-Whom*
-What
-Whose
These are also known as WH-words.
(*Remember that the use of whom as a direct-object pronoun is quite formal. In conversation most speakers use who: "That's the woman who / whom I saw in the supermarket.")
Example 1: Who called you so late last night?
Example 2: Whose socks are these?
Example 3: What do you want for dinner?
Example 4: Which jacket do you like better?
We hope you found this lesson useful.
We will see you tomorrow for another lesson!
