PRONOUNS (NEGATIVE PRONOUNS, PART 2)
PRONOUNS (NEGATIVE PRONOUNS, PART 2): meaning and examples
Happy Friday, everyone! I hope you've had a nice week.
Pronouns has been our theme for the week, and today's lesson is our second lesson on NEGATIVE PRONOUNS. Remember, the NEGATIVE PRONOUNS in English are:
-No
-None
-Neither
-Nobody
-No one
-Nothing
Yesterday we looked at the first three. Today, we are looking at the last three.
We use NOBODY and NO ONE with animate objects.
Example 1: Nobody saw the person steal my bike.
Example 2: No one saw the person steal my bike.
We use NOTHING with inanimate objects.
Example 3: Nothing is available for rent during your requested dates.
Example 4: I gave so much to this relationship and I got nothing in return.
Did you like this week's theme? We hope so.
Next week our theme will be knowledge-related vocabulary. We hope you'll join us.
Until then, take care!
