PRONOUNS (RECIPROCAL)
PRONOUNS (RECIPROCAL): meaning and examples
Welcome back and happy Monday, everyone! I hope you had a wonderful weekend.
This week's theme is Pronouns. Each day we will focus on a different type of pronoun. (Do you know the different types? If not, do not worry: we will cover four of them!)
Today we are focusing on RECIPROCAL PRONOUNS. We express this with EACH OTHER and ONE ANOTHER. These phrases show how people or things do the same action to the other.
Imagine a diagram with two people: Person A and Person B. Then imagine two arrows between these people. One arrow points from Person A to Person B. One arrow points from Person B to Person A. This shows reciprocity.
Example 1: I was good at multiplication and my sister was good at division; so, when we were young, we helped each other with our maths homework.
Example 2: My neighbours have children who are the same age as my children. We help one another by taking one another’s children to school.
We had a lesson on this four years ago, in 2017. You can review the lesson at the following link: https://www.ziggurat.es/en/daily-vitamin-en/?vitamin=2934
That's all for today's lesson. I hope you enjoy the rest of your Monday!
