REAL LIFE: RELATIONSHIPS-4: meaning and examples

Good morning everyone!

Today we finish our summary of the different types of personalities with respect to how we deal with friends, as summarised in an article in the English textbook Move, by MacMillan. Yesterday we spoke about cultivators and pruners and today we look at harvesters and gatherers.

Harvesters: these are people who have a very loyal circle of friends, who they remain close to despite long periods without meeting or speaking to them.

Gatherers: these are people who tend to make friends easily and in great numbers, but do little to maintain the relationships and rarely keep in touch.

Apparently, men are more likely to be gatherers or harvesters, and woman are more likely to be cultivators (see yesterday's Daily Vitamin).

Six out of ten people claim that they value their friendships more than money, successful careers or even family. What about you?

Remember that you can make inquiries about today's Daily Vitamin by adding a comment in the Daily Vitamin section on our website. The more you participate, the more effective the lessons will be.

Also remember that tomorrow we will send the Essential Weekly Vitamin for Spanish-speaking students of English.

I hope you have a great day.
