RELIGION IDIOMS (A BLESSING IN DISGUISE)
RELIGION IDIOMS (A BLESSING IN DISGUISE): meaning and examples
Good morning / afternoon / evening everyone. Welcome back to the Daily Vitamin. I hope everyone had an excellent Easter break.
Since it was Easter last week, we thought that this week we could look at expressions/idioms that originated in a religious context.
This week's first expression is: A blessing in disguise
Definition: an apparent misfortune that eventually has good results.
Example 1: In high school I broke my leg and could no longer play football. However, so many great things happened to me after not being able to play. Looking back, I see that injury as a blessing in disguise.
Example 2: Losing that job was actually a blessing in disguise. I hated that job, and now I have a job that I love!
Do you have a blessing in disguise from your life that you can share with us? Sentence 1 is a true story from my life. Post your example on one of our social media sites (Facebook or Twitter), and we will give you feedback as soon as possible.
I hope you have a great day, and we'll see you tomorrow with another religion idiom.
All the best!
