RING-2: meaning and examples

Good morning everyone.

Today we continue our study of expressions with the English word RING.

Today's expression is: to ring in your ears / to ring in your head

Meaning: to feel that you can still hear something said in the past.

Example 1:
Don't worry...I'll be very careful. His warning is still ringing in my ears.

Example 2:
His mother's advice was still ringing in his ears as he approached the door of the office where he would be interviewed for the job.
