Today's expression is: to ring something up
Meaning: to enter the cost of products being bought in a shop on a cash register by pressing the buttons; to make the sales of a particular value.
Example 1:
She rang up all of the items on the till (till = cash register).
Example 2:
The company rang up sales of more than 150 million Euros last year.
