Today's expression is: to set someone or something apart

It means: to make somebody or something better or different from others.   

Example 1
The easy-to-use software and the elegant design sets Apple's iPhone apart from other mobile phones on the market.

Example 2:
His clear and elegant way of speaking sets him apart from other speakers.
