SHOPPING VOCABULARY (COMPULSIVE BUY): meaning and examples

This week we are going to look at words and expressions related to shopping.
Today's expression is: COMPULSIVE BUYING
Definition: Compulsive buying, otherwise known as shopping addiction, is a mental condition characterized by the persistent, excessive, impulsive, and uncontrollable purchase of products in spite of the problems it causes.
Sentence 1: Due to his compulsive buying behaviour, he ended up losing his home despite having a very good job and salary.
Sentence 2: How many pairs of shoes do you have? What? 55 pairs? I would say you have compulsive buying behaviour. Why do you need 55 pairs of shoes?
