SPLASH: ONOMATOPOEIA WORDS: meaning and examples
Good morning / afternoon / evening everyone, depending on when you are reading this. Welcome back to the Daily Vitamin!
Today we continue with our presentation of different onomatopoeia words in English. These are words that represent a natural sound.
Today's 1st onomatopoeia is: Splash
Meaning: The sound that is created when somethings hits water.
Example 1: When my ten-year-old son jumped into the pool, he made a big splash.
Today's 2nd onomatopoeia is: Crackle
Meaning: the sound often made when something is burning; it refers to a series of short, sharp, and sudden sounds, often irregular and popping in nature.
Example 2: I began to feel more relaxed after sitting in front of the fire, which was producing a crackling sound.
