SPRING CLEANING

Good morning / afternoon / evening everyone, depending on when you are reading this lesson. Welcome back to the Daily Vitamin. I hope you are having a great week.

Today is officially spring. That is why this week we have been looking at phrases and expressions related to spring. 

Today's 1st spring phrase is: Nature is coming back to life

Meaning/Use: We use this phrase as a way to convey that plants and animals are becoming active again as spring arrives.

Example 1: As the days get longer and the weather gets warmer, I notice that nature is coming back to life. What a beautiful day it is.

Today's 2nd spring phrase is: Spring cleaning

Meaning/Use: We use this term to refer to the action of thoroughly cleaning and organizing one’s home in the spring.

Example 2: Spring cleaning is a great time to throw away old things that you don't need. 

Example 3: Every April, I do some spring cleaning and organize my closet.
