SPRING FEVER
SPRING FEVER: meaning and examples
"It's spring fever. That is what the name of it is. And when you've got it, you want – oh, you don't quite know what it is you do want, but it just fairly makes your heart ache, you want it so!" ~Mark Twain
Today's expression is: spring fever
It means: feeling excited, restless (inquieta) or even lazy, at the beginning of spring, when the warm weather begins.
Example 1:
I can't sit still! I must have spring fever! I think I will clean my entire house this weekend.
Example 2:
What are we doing inside this office all day long? The sun is shining and I've got a case of spring fever! I'm going to go outside for a walk and then sit down in a sunny coffee-shop patio and have a cappuccino.
Do you have spring fever? If so, get out and enjoy the sunshine! Remember that tomorrow you can read our Essential Weekly Vitamin for Spanish-speaking English students.
