SYNONYMS: INTELLIGENT: meaning and examples

As you know, this week we are looking at different common adjectives in English and some synonyms of those adjectives.
Today's adjective is: Intelligent
Meaning: able to learn and understand things easily. A high level of intellectual ability.
Following are three synonyms of intelligent. Remember, they are synonyms, but they don't have the exact same meaning.
Clever: used to describe a person who is quick-witted and has the ability to learn and understand things quickly and easily.
Example 1: The marketing director is very clever; he created a very innovative plan to improve sales in the first quarter of 2024.
Wise: having or showing the ability to make good judgments, based on a deep understanding and experience of life.
Example 2: My grandmother was an amazing woman. After her husband died, she travelled the world and learned so much; she became a very wise woman.
Astute: able to understand a situation quickly and see how to take advantage of it.
Example 3: My father was a very astute businessman. He set up more than three successful businesses in his lifetime and retired as a millionaire.
