Welcome back, everyone!

Definition: A business with a physical location (such as a retail shop, a doctor's office, or a factory).
Example 1: Sometimes I miss working at a bricks and mortar. But other days I remember what a pain it was to take the metro to work every day.
Example 2: We used to have a bricks-and-mortar store, but now we are entirely online.
(NOTE: we use the hyphenated version, BRICKS-AND-MORTAR, when we use this expression as an adjective.)
Example 3: Our prices are lower than other marketing firms because we aren’t a bricks-and-mortar business and never have been.
In North American English, the expression is BRICK AND MORTAR, without the "s" on BRICK.
