TENSE TUESDAY: FUTURE CONTINUOUS FOR PARALLEL ACTIONS
TENSE TUESDAY: FUTURE CONTINUOUS FOR PARALLEL ACTIONS: meaning and examples
Hello readers and welcome to Tense Tuesday! I hope everyone had a wonderful Easter break.
Today we continue with our theme of parallel actions. Today we are looking at the Future Continuous with parallel actions.
Remember that the Future Continuous has the following possible forms:
will be present participle
am / is / are going to be present participle
When we use the Future Continuous two or more times in the same sentence, it shows that these actions happened at the same time (i.e., they are parallel actions).
Example 1: This summer I am going to be studying in France and she is going to be working as a lifeguard.
Example 2: Tonight we will be studying, drinking a little wine, and discussing the final exam requirements.
That's all for today. Thanks for reading! Have a great day.
