TENSE TUESDAY: REVIEW OF INVERSIONS CHALLENGE
TENSE TUESDAY: REVIEW OF INVERSIONS CHALLENGE: meaning and examples
Today we are offering another opportunity to practice your English through participation. For the last two Tense Tuesdays, we looked at INVERSIONS. Remember that INVERSIONS are ways of changing the "natural" order of a sentence to create emphasis, and there are many different types. Here are some examples of the INVERSIONS we've studied:
Example 1: Never did I think I would meet a famous person! And then I did!
Example 2: Never had I seen a dolphin until I went to California.

Today we are going to ask YOU to make two inversions using the words below. Can you make a complete sentence from these words? The order of the words should include an inversion that adds emphasis.
Sentence 1: had / beautiful / never / I / such / a / woman / seen
Sentence 2: will / at / restaurant / again / never / I / eat / that.
Leave us your answers on Facebook Page and we will post the correct answers later.
