TENSE TUESDAY: THE FUTURE PROGRESSIVE: meaning and examples
Welcome to today's Tense Tuesday for the Daily Vitamin!
For our lesson today, we will be looking at the Future Progressive.
The Future Progressive has two forms:
→ WILL BE -ING
→ BE GOING TO BE -ING
We use this tense to talk about actions that will be in progress in the future.
Example 1: We will be leaving at 9 am tomorrow.
Example 2: I will be working next Saturday.
We also use it without specific time to talk about an action we will do a lot in the future.
Example 3: She is going to be traveling a lot with her new job.
Example 4: Christmas is coming: we are going to be shopping a lot very soon!
That's all for today. Have a great day!
