THE 5 SENSES (5)
THE 5 SENSES (5): meaning and examples
I hope you had a pleasant weekend. Today we finish our series of Daily Vitamins, which we started last week, about verb expressions related to the five senses: sight, smell, sound, taste, and feel. Today we finish with the sense of feel.
Today's Sense-Verb Expressions are:
to feel like NOUN
to feel ADJECTIVE
They mean: to have a specific tactile sensation when you touch something, or to have an emotional response to something.
Example 1:
Carlos: Close your eyes and touch this. What does it feel like?
Andrea: Well... it feels soft, and warm and furry. Can I open my eyes?
Carlos: Yes! Happy birthday!
Andrea: Oh! It's a kitten! How adorable!
Example 2:
Goldilocks: Hmm, this bed is too big. It feels like a rock. But this bed feels so comfortable. I think I'll have a nap!
This ends our series on the 5 senses. I hope you enjoyed it. Remembe to leave us a comment in the Daily Vitamin section on our webpage (www.ziggurat.es/es/lecciones_ingles/index.asp) or on our Facebook page (www.facebook.com/pages/Ziggurat/206842079323?ref=mf) if you have any questions or suggestions for future Daily Vitamins.
Enjoy your day!
