THE ALPHABET GAME 2024 (A)

Welcome back, everyone! 

Today is the first day of our annual Daily Vitamin Alphabet Game. As always, we are offering some prizes for the winners. See yesterday's email about the details!

The game works the same this year as in the previous years: each day, we give you a sentence that has a missing word. The missing word will begin with one letter of the alphabet. We will sometimes give you hints to help you guess the correct word. The people with the most correct answers and points at the end of 26 days will win. 

IMPORTANT: To participate (and win one of the prizes) you should:
1) be a follower of at least one of our social media sites (either Facebook or X/Twitter).
2) share the initial contest post from yesterday (May 29th) on at least one of our social media sites.
3) post the correct answer on one of our social media sites each day. The sooner you post, the more points you will receive.

Sentence: The sales estimates made for the fourth quarter of 2024 were a_____ over the shop. I couldn't make sense of them.

Hint: We looked at this expression back in December 2023.
