THE ALPHABET GAME: 'C'

Happy Monday and welcome back to the 2017 annual Alphabet Game!

Are you ready to continue playing for some cool prizes, such as a Kindle Fire tablet? Let's get started with Day Three.

Today's post begins with the letter C. Here is your sentence:

Sentence: During the autumn, my Mom always decorates our kitchen table with a _____. 

And here are your hints:

Hint 1: It is a symbol of the Thanksgiving holiday in some cultures, such as the U.S. and Canada.

Hint 2: The definition is "a basket shaped like a horn that is filled with fruit, nuts, etc."

Hint 3: This was a DV close to Thanksgiving last year (November 2016).

Remember the following details about the Alphabet game contest.

For 26 Daily Vitamin lessons (May 25th until June 30th), we're playing the Alphabet Game, with the objective of learning new vocabulary and reviewing past Daily Vitamin lessons. And we're going to give you the opportunity to win some prizes!

1st Prize: a  Kindle Fire Tablet
2nd Prize: a 25€ Amazon gift certificate
3rd Prize: 2 tickets to the cinema/film of your choice

Each day we will give you a definition or a clue for a vocabulary word or expression that starts with a specific letter of the alphabet. We'll start with the letter "A", then the letter "B", then the letter "C", etc. until we finish all 26 letters in the English alphabet. We will send the clue in the Daily Vitamin lesson and we will post it on our Facebook and Twitter social media sites.

IMPORTANT: To participate (and win one of the prizes), you should:
1) be a follower of at least one of our social media sites (either Facebook or Twitter).
2) share the initial contest post (May 24th) on at least one of our social media sites.
3) post the correct answer on one of our social media sites each day. At the end of the 26 lessons, the person with the most points will be the winner.

HOW TO GET POINTS AND WIN
For posting a correct answer on our Facebook or Twitter pages, each Alphabet Game participant receives one point automatically. Between all the participants that post correct answers each day, the participant who posts first receives 10 additional points, the participant who posts second receives 9 additional points, the participant who posts third receives 8 additional points, etc. The participant who posts tenth receives one additional point. So, the first 10 people to post get 1 point for posting plus the additional points for their 1st to 10th place standing.
