THE DAY AFTER TOMORROW: meaning and examples

Today we're going to look at ways of describing the days before and after today.
Today is Wednesday, and tomorrow is Thursday. Do you know how to refer to Friday? Friday is the day after tomorrow.
Example 1:
We're going to be busy all weekend – my mother-in-law is arriving the day after tomorrow.
Yesterday was Tuesday. How can we talk about two days ago, Monday the 12th of June? The day before yesterday was Monday the 12th of June.
Example 2:
Speaker 1: Was Philip in the office yesterday?
Speaker 2: No, I think he went to a sales meeting.
Speaker 1: No, he didn't. The sales meeting was the day before yesterday.
